Biography

Antoine was born in Paris, France (1977) and grew up in Tokyo, Japan (1984 — 1989), Mexico City (1989 — 1991) and Barcelona, Spain (1992 — 1995). After earning a B.F.A. in Film/Animation/Video from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1999, Antoine's plans to locally initiate a career in the field of animation were derailed by French military service requirements. This unexpected turn of events led first to a move to Beijing, China (1999 — 2000), then to Antoine starting a design career, working as a visual and interaction designer in Dublin, Ireland (2001 — 2002) and Paris, France (2002 — 2009) while simultaneously freelancing as an illustrator.

Upon returning to the United States in 2009, Antoine dedicated himself to working as an illustrator full time. Within the first two years of this commitment, Antoine's illustration work won recognition from the industry's preeminent juries and publications, notably The Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Print Magazine, 3x3 Magazine and Spectrum. In 2011 Antoine Revoy received a Gold Award from Graphis and in 2012 was awarded a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles.

Antoine currently resides in the East Coast of the United States, teaches at the Montserrat College of Art and Rhode Island School of Design, and is married to illustrator Kelly Murphy.
